Three Ways to Work
One of the biggest advantages of the SERMOON-P1 is its flexibility.
Standalone Mode
No computer is required.
Simply switch on the scanner and use its built-in 6-inch touchscreen and onboard processing hardware to capture and process your scan.
The P1 can perform scanning, point-cloud fusion, model processing and exporting directly on the device.
Wireless PC Mode
Connect wirelessly to your computer for a larger-screen workflow without having a data cable attached to the scanner.
Built-in Wi-Fi 7 provides high-speed wireless data transfer.
Wired PC Mode
For maximum scanning performance, connect the P1 directly to a compatible computer.
Blue-laser scanning speed increases from up to 60FPS in standalone operation to up to 100FPS when PC connected.
22 Cross Blue Laser Lines – Fast Scanning
The 22 cross-line laser mode is designed for quickly capturing the overall geometry and dimensions of components.
It’s particularly useful for:
- Automotive components
- Body panels
- Moulds
- Machinery
- Engineering components
- Medium and large manufactured parts
In standalone operation, the P1 can capture up to 1,044,000 measurements per second in this mode, increasing to approximately 1,740,000 measurements per second when connected to a PC.
7 Parallel Blue Laser Lines – Fine Detail
When surface detail becomes more important than maximum scanning speed, switch to the 7 parallel blue laser lines.
This mode is optimised for capturing intricate features and complex geometry with greater control.
Single Blue Laser – Deep Holes & Recesses
The P1 also includes a dedicated single blue laser line.
This mode is specifically designed for difficult areas such as:
- Deep holes
- Recesses
- Narrow gaps
- Internal features
- Complex mechanical components
Creality reports successful deep-hole scanning at a depth-to-diameter ratio of up to 5:1 under its test conditions.
NIR Markerless Scanning
Not every object requires laser scanning.
The P1 also incorporates near-infrared structured light, allowing fast markerless scanning of many medium and large objects.
This is particularly useful for:
- Human body scanning
- Sculptures
- Furniture
- Large objects
- Objects where applying markers would be impractical
The long-range infrared mode provides a capture area as large as approximately 1245 × 754mm at 1000mm distance.
Up to 0.02mm Accuracy
Blue-laser scanning can achieve accuracy of up to 0.02mm, with volumetric accuracy specified at:
0.02mm + 0.06mm/m
This makes the P1 suitable for professional workflows where dimensional accuracy matters, including:
- Reverse engineering
- Inspection
- CAD reconstruction
- Replacement-part reproduction
- Automotive customisation
- Product development
- Manufacturing
From Tiny Parts to Large Objects
The combination of laser and NIR scanning gives the P1 an exceptionally broad working range.
Creality specifies blue-laser scanning for objects from approximately 5 × 5 × 5mm up to 4000 × 4000 × 4000mm.
This means the same scanner can be used for a tiny precision component, an automotive part or a very large assembly.
Scan Black & Metallic Surfaces
The SERMOON-P1 is designed to capture many black and metallic objects without scanning spray.
This is particularly valuable in automotive and engineering environments, where surface preparation can otherwise add significant time to the scanning process.
Highly reflective, transparent or otherwise optically difficult surfaces may still require preparation depending on the application.
Full-Colour Texture Scanning
A built-in full-colour RGB camera works with 12 white supplemental LEDs to capture colour texture information together with geometry.
This expands the P1 beyond engineering applications into:
- Art and sculpture
- Digital archiving
- Cultural preservation
- Character modelling
- VR/AR
- Full-colour digital models
Powerful Computer Built Into the Scanner
The SERMOON-P1 effectively has a high-performance computing platform built directly into the scanner.

Replaceable Dual-Battery System
For field work, the P1 uses replaceable 3300mAh batteries.
Two batteries are supplied, allowing one to be used while the other is available as a replacement.
Each battery also supports USB-C charging, with 65W PD 3.0 fast charging. Creality states that a battery can reach approximately 80% charge in 50 minutes.

Why Choose the CR-SERMOON-P1?
The CR-SERMOON-P1 is designed for customers who have moved beyond occasional hobby scanning and need a scanner that can become part of a professional workflow.
Its biggest advantage is independence.
Instead of carrying a scanner, laptop, power supply and cables around a vehicle, factory floor or customer site, the P1 puts the scanner, computer, screen, storage and battery into one handheld device.
At the same time, you aren’t sacrificing professional capability. You still get up to 0.02mm accuracy, 22+7+1 blue laser scanning, NIR structured light, full-colour capture, black/metal scanning and up to 100FPS performance when connected to a suitable PC.
For automotive work, reverse engineering, inspection and professional product development, the SERMOON-P1 is a significant step above Creality’s conventional handheld scanner range.
