34 Cross Blue Laser Lines – Fast Professional Scanning
The 34 cross blue laser lines allow the SERMOON S1 to capture large amounts of surface data quickly.
This mode reaches approximately 1.428 million measurements per second and up to 70FPS, making it particularly useful when scanning:
- Automotive components
- Vehicle body panels
- Moulds
- Machinery
- Medium and large engineering parts
- Manufacturing components
- Large prototypes
The large field of view means more surface area can be captured with each movement of the scanner, improving efficiency on bigger projects.
7 Parallel Blue Laser Lines – Capture Fine Detail
Switch to the 7 parallel blue laser lines when fine surface detail is the priority.
This mode provides controlled high-resolution scanning with speeds up to 90FPS, making it ideal for complex mechanical components and detailed surfaces.
Blue-laser resolution can be set from approximately 0.05–2mm, depending on the scanning application.
Single Blue Laser Line – Deep Holes & Recesses
The SERMOON S1 also features a dedicated single blue laser line designed to capture difficult geometry that conventional scanning systems can struggle with.
It is particularly useful for:
- Deep holes
- Narrow gaps
- Recesses
- Grooves
- Internal features
- Complex mechanical components
This makes the S1 particularly attractive for reverse engineering and automotive applications, where recessed geometry is common.
Innovative 4-Lens NIR Structured Light
The SERMOON S1 isn’t limited to blue-laser scanning.
Its innovative four-lens NIR structured-light system combines high-accuracy stereo cameras with wide-angle cameras.
The wider field of view allows the scanner to capture larger objects quickly and can enable marker-free scanning on suitable feature-rich objects.
This mode is particularly useful for:
- Human bodies
- Sculptures
- Furniture
- Large objects
- Artwork
- Large prototypes
The long-range NIR mode provides a single capture area of up to approximately 1245 × 754mm at a 1000mm working distance.
Up to 0.02mm Accuracy
In blue-laser mode, the SERMOON S1 can achieve scanning accuracy of up to 0.02mm under Creality’s specified test conditions.
Volumetric accuracy is rated at:
0.02mm + 0.08mm/m
This level of precision makes the S1 suitable for professional applications including:
- Reverse engineering
- CAD reconstruction
- Dimensional reference
- Product development
- Inspection
- Replacement-part reproduction
- Manufacturing
- 3D printing
Scan From 5mm to 4 Metres
One of the biggest strengths of the SERMOON S1 is its extremely broad scanning range.
Creality specifies objects ranging from just 5 × 5 × 5mm all the way to approximately 4000 × 4000 × 4000mm in its blue-laser modes.
That means the same scanner can be used for:
- Coins
- Bolts
- Small mechanical components
- Engine components
- Motorcycle parts
- Automotive panels
- Furniture
- Human bodies
- Complete vehicles
Scan Black & Metallic Objects
Dark and reflective surfaces can be challenging for conventional optical scanners.
The SERMOON S1’s blue-laser system is designed to capture many black and metallic surfaces without scanning spray, reducing preparation and clean-up time.
This is especially valuable in automotive and engineering environments.
Extremely reflective or transparent surfaces may still require surface preparation depending on the application.
Full-Colour Texture Capture
The S1 incorporates a 2MP RGB camera together with 12 white supplemental LEDs for high-definition colour reproduction.
This allows the scanner to capture both geometry and surface appearance, expanding its usefulness beyond engineering into applications such as:
- Art and antiques
- Digital archiving
- Sculptures
- Human scanning
- VR/AR
- Character creation
- Full-colour digital models
Intelligent Temperature Compensation
Precision scanners can be affected by changes in temperature during extended scanning sessions.
Creality uses an AI-driven temperature compensation algorithm together with thermal management to help maintain consistent performance over longer periods.
One-Shot 3D imaging also helps improve tracking stability and reduce alignment errors caused by normal handheld movement.
Optional Wireless Scanning
The standard SERMOON S1 is a wired scanner, but it supports Creality’s compatible ScanBridge wireless accessory, which is sold separately.
This is an important distinction for the website — I would not advertise the standard S1 as including wireless scanning.
Adding ScanBridge is particularly useful when scanning vehicles and large objects where freedom of movement is important.
CrealityScan 4
The SERMOON S1 works with CrealityScan 4, Creality’s professional scanning platform.
The software provides guided calibration, scanning, point-cloud processing, alignment, editing and model preparation.
Scan data can also be transferred into professional software such as QUICKSURFACE and Geomagic Design X for reverse engineering and further processing.

- Inspection
- Manufacturing
- Product development
- Replacement parts
- Mould and tooling development
- Mechanical components
- 3D printing
- Art and antiques
- Digital archiving
- Education and research

Why Choose the Creality SERMOON S1?
The SERMOON S1 is an excellent option for customers who want professional blue-laser scanning without moving all the way into Creality’s more specialised P1 or X1 systems.
Its combination of 34 cross laser lines for speed, 7 parallel lines for detail, a single laser for difficult recesses and dual-range NIR structured light for larger objects makes it exceptionally versatile.
For an automotive workshop, engineering company, product designer or reverse-engineering business that needs to scan everything from small components to complete vehicles, the S1 provides a strong balance between professional accuracy, speed and versatility.
